How to Be Successful

Success means different things to different people. We aren’t all made of the same mold. We are all uniquely created, so why does success have to be the same for each person? It doesn’t. Whatever made Bill Gates a success isn’t what is going to make me, or you a success. Unless that’s your thing, then I guess it is. My point here is success is what you define it to be, and at the end of our lives we really just want to know that we made a difference in this world. Look successin aint easy, so here’s a list of things that can help you in becoming your own definition of success.
  1. Find your passion

It’s a lot easier said than done, but it must be done. We all have a few passions if we look long, and hard, and we CAN find them. I have a few. I love writing, I love encouraging others to live their dreams, and I love painting (no good at it, but I love it). The point is, we all have something we are good at, and we can make that a career. Even if its basket weaving. It can still be turned into a business, if you have the passion to do so. I mean come on, who doesn’t need a good basket or two, especially at Easter? Be a basket weaver if that’s you, and be a damn good one.

  1. Set some goals

It’s great to have a list of goals that you want to achieve in 5 years, but what are you going to do, on a daily basis, to achieve those goals? Writing down a list of goals you want to do that day, first thing in the morning, is a great way to get a head start on your 5 year plan. Theres a saying that goes a little something like this “if we fail to plan, we plan to fail”. Make a daily goal list of things to do that will get you closer to your dreams. My dream is to write, and to inspire others while doing it, so I have to learn how to do that, and I’ve learned so far, is that it takes a lot of time spent learning new, and creative ways to do that.

   3.  Of Course,  Never stop learning

I stated before that I had to learn new, and creative ways to accomplish my dreams. This means I have spent a lot of time learning. I have spent money on courses that help me become a better blogger, and to learn how to blog, because to this day, I still don’t know if I’m doing it right, but I’m trying, and I’m still learning. The most successful people in the world have stated that they read constantly. Reading is a great way to learn new things. Warren Buffet, and Bill Gates, two very successful people, have stated their love for reading. Bill Gates reads about 50 books a year. That’s almost a book a week.   The great Albert Einstein said “Once you stop learning, you start dying”, so you may as well learn how to turn your passion into a business.

  1. Meditation

Yes meditation. Didn’t see that one coming did you? Again, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, and many more successful people meditated. Meditation allows you to focus, and be more productive. The ability to quiet your mind, and be still, helps with new creative ideas. How can we be more creative when our minds are always on full blast?   I admit I have to practice this step more often than I do, because my mind is 90 to nothing all the time. Especially, since I have awakened to my greater possibilities.

   5.  Wake up early

We all have heard the saying “early bird gets the worm”, well it looks like there’s

some truth to that. President Trump has stated that he gets 4 hours of sleep a night. 4 hours, that’s it, and he’s in his 70’s. What your excuse? The great Nikola Tesla stated that he slept only a few hours each night. I think I see a pattern here. If you MUST be successful, find the time to learn how, and take action.
